Last month, British Airways announced that it would introduce a Whispering Angel rosé bar at London Heathrow Airport. That bar, located in the British Airways lounge near the B gates at London Heathrow Terminal 5 (The Club Lounge B Gates), has now opened and we have photos of the bar and more details of the rosé wines being served across British Airways’ lounges this summer.

The Whispering Angel Rosé Bar, London Heathrow Club Lounge B Gates
British Airways has officially opened its Whispering Angel rosé bar located in the B-Gates satellite Club lounge at Lonodon Heathrow Airport. The bar was first announced last month and features a bespoke space dedicated exclusively to Caves d’Esclans’ well-known Whispering Angel rosé.
The bar is designed to emulate the light pink tones of the rosé served that come together for a quite attractive and inviting atmosphere.
It’s the first step in a refresh of this lounge over the summer. According to British Airways, the lounge will be updated to include new and reupholstered furniture as well as a new layout.
British Airways says the wine “boasts a delicate Provençal pink hue, spoiling customer with sun-kissed creamy flavours of peach and raspberries, with refreshing citrus undertones and a smooth, dry finish.”
“We are really excited to open the doors on our new original Whispering Angel bar, just in time for the start of the summer season. What’s more, the opening coincides with the exciting news that customers now have the option to pre-order Whispering Angel across all short-haul flights, to take the experience with them, from the ground to the skies.”

Who has access to the Whispering Angel Rosé Bar?
The bar is located inside the British Airways Galleries T5B Club Lounge. That’s classified as a Business Class Lounge meaning that it is accessible to anyone flying a Oneworld airline from Terminal 5 in business class or above, or holds Oneworld Emerald or Oneworld Sapphire status.
British Airways Continues Upgrading Wine Offerings
The introduction of the Whispering Angel rosé bar is not the only recent improvement to British Airways’ wine offerings. British Airways claims to be the only airline in the world to have a full-time Master of Wine, one of only 415 in the world.
Earlier this year, the airline introduced a new range of English sparkling wines to Club World passengers, working with four local wine producers from across England in an effort to showcase more products of British origin.
Previously, British Airways announced that customers will be offered l Rosé options from the same winemakers as Whispering Angel across all their First and Club (business class) lounges at both London Heathrow and London Gatwick airports.
Other Club (Business Class) lounges at Heathrow and Gatwick will feature The Pale rosé from Château d’Esclans. The Concorde Room, First, and Club lounges will also make Whispering Angel available. First-class passengers will also be served Rock Angel, an elevated offering from Château d’Esclans, onboard onboard this summer completing the lineup of Rosé offered by British Airways.
It’s worth noting that British Airways is not alone in offering Whispering Angel rosé. United serves the wine onboard Polaris business class flights.
Bottom Line
The opening of the Whispering Angel Bar in The Club Lounge B Gates in London Heathrow Terminal 5 is the latest move by British Airways as it upgrades its wine offerings for premium passengers. The announcement is paired with the welcome news that the lounge will be getting a needed refresh meaning an improved travel experience for the millions of passengers who travel through London Heathrow Terminal 5 each month.
