The promotion is scheduled to start one day after the end of the current World of Hyatt targeted promotion on March 20th, 2023.

World of Hyatt Global Promotion Spring 2023

The next World of Hyatt global promotion will allow members to earn 3,000 bonus points after every two eligible nights stayed between March 20 and May 26, 2023. The “Bonus Journeys” promotion is valid for up to 30 nights starting with the second stay, meaning members can earn up to 45,000 bonus points.

To be eligible, members must register for the promotion before their first qualifying stay. Registration will start February 21 and stay open until April 30, 2023.

This promotion is valid for stays at all Hyatt properties including newly-acquired properties in the Dream Hotel Group once they’re integrated into World of Hyatt. It’s also valid at participating MGM Resorts, Small Luxury Hotels of the World properties participating in the Hyatt partnership, and Lindblad Expeditions.

World of Hyatt Global Promotion Details

There are a few other things to keep in mind to take advantage of the World of Hyatt Global Promotion Spring 2023.

• The first stay won’t count toward the promotion.

• Check-out dates must fall between March 20 and May 26, 2023.

• Members can earn a maximum of 45,000 World of Hyatt bonus points, which would be after 30 eligible nights.

• If you have the World of Hyatt Credit Card or World of Hyatt Business Credit Card, you can earn an extra 500 bonus points after every two nights stayed in 10 select cities. The cities are Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Hong Kong, London, New York, Paris, Tokyo, and Washington.

If you have any Hyatt stays planned between March 20 to May 26, 2023, be sure to register before your first stay (or April 30) to make sure you earn valuable points.

Value of Hyatt’s Global Promotion

The World of Hyatt Bonus Journeys promotion is quite lucrative for members. For context, most travel hackers value World of Hyatt points at approximately $1.5 cents each.

With this promotion, members earn an additional 3,000 points for every two nights (after the first stay). In other words, an incremental 1,500 bonus points per night, which is equivalent to an incremental return of $22.50 per night. That’s a pretty fantastic return excellent return, particularly on stays at less expensive properties. It’s also pretty fantastic to be able to earn some points back on award stays.

In addition to the Bonus Journeys promotion, members can also earn points through regular points earning. Base World of Hyatt members typically earn 5x base points per dollar spent at Hyatt properties. Hyatt has a reputation for treating Globalists well and it’s not just the breakfast benefit. Elite members earn additional points on regular spend:

• World of Hyatt Discoverists earn an extra 0.5 points per dollar spent for a total of 5.5 points per dollar
• World of Hyatt Explorists earn an extra 1.0 points per dollar spent for a total of 6 points per dollar
• World of Hyatt Globalists earn an extra 1.5 points per dollar spent for a total of 6.5 points per dollar

If you pay with the World of Hyatt Credit Card or World of Hyatt Business Credit Card, you earn 4x points per dollar spent at Hyatt properties in addition to regular point earnings. Here’s what that normally works out to based on your World of Hyatt status:

• World of Hyatt base members normally earn 9 points per dollar when paying with a World of Hyatt Credit Card (worth roughly $13.5 cents per dollar)

• World of Hyatt Discoverists normally earn 9.5 points per dollar when paying with a World of Hyatt Credit Card (worth roughly $14.25 cents per dollar)

• World of Hyatt Explorists normally earn 10 points per dollar when paying with a World of Hyatt Credit Card (worth roughly $15 cents per dollar)

• World of Hyatt Globalists normally earn 10.5 points per dollar when paying with a World of Hyatt Credit Card (worth roughly $15.75 cents per dollar)

With this promotion, on top of the normal earnings, you’ll also receive an incremental 1,500 bonus points per night. If you were booking a hypothetical $100-per-night hotel room as a base World of Hyatt member, you’d be getting $36 back. Globalists would get $38.25! That’s some crazy value.

Earnings even get slightly better if you have a World of Hyatt Credit Card and are staying in one of the 10 select cities earning the additional 500 points.
