In many hotel loyalty programs, many of the most lucrative benefits aren’t simply an elite status benefit. They’re earned based on nights stayed. Hyatt is no exception: World of Hyatt Milestone Rewards provide incremental value to loyalists at 10-night intervals independent of qualifying for Discoverist, Explorist, or Globalist status.

This part of World of Hyatt can be a bit confusing, especially in light of changes that took effect starting 2024, so in this guide, I’m going through all of the details and answering some common questions about World of Hyatt Milestone Rewards.

What Are World of Hyatt Milestone Rewards?

World of Hyatt Milestone Rewards are benefits that members earn separately from elite status benefits. The program rewards members for every 10 qualifying nights (or specific base point thresholds) with various benefits.

The benefits range from free night awards, point bonuses, gift cards, suite upgrades, and other benefits at Hyatt with the perks dependent on the threshold met as we get into.

These benefits allow members to earn rewards at milestones between progress to elite status tiers and even provide incremental benefits after earning Globalist status. Calculated by nights, World of Hyatt Milestone Rewards are unlocked at 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90, 100, 110, 120, 130, 140, and 150 elite nights in a year.

World of Hyatt status is earned at the following thresholds:

• World of Hyatt Discoverist status: 10 elite qualifying nights or 25,000 base points (requiring $5,000 of spending)
• World of Hyatt Explorist status: 30 elite qualifying nights or 50,000 base points (requiring $10,000 of spending)
• World of Hyatt Globalist status: 60 elite qualifying nights or 100,000 base points (requiring $20,000 of spending)

In other words, thanks to Milestone Rewards, a Discoverist member will unlock rewards when they hit 20 elite qualifying nights before hitting Explorist status. An Expolorist will unlock rewards at the 40 and 50 qualifying night thresholds before qualifying for Globalists. Globalists will continue unlocking rewards every 10 nights up to 150 elite nights after hitting the 60 elite nights required to earn or requalify as a Globalist.

So what are the benefits unlocked with Hyatt’s Milestone Rewards?

World of Hyatt Milestone Reward at 10 Qualifying Nights (or 25,000 base points)

This is technically not a Hyatt Milestone Reward, but upon reaching 10 nights or 25,000 base points (equivalent to $5,000 in spending), you’ll earn Discoverist status in World of Hyatt.

World of Hyatt Milestone Reward at 20 Qualifying Nights (or 35,000 base points)

At 20 nights or 30,000 base points, you’ll have the option of choosing between one of three rewards.

• A $2K Next Stay Award: earn 2,000 bonus World of Hyatt points on your next stay at a Hyatt Place, Hyatt House, Caption by Hyatt, or UrCove hotel (within 180 days).

• 2 Club Access Awards: allows access to club lounges at Hyatt hotels for stays of up to 7 nights (per award) on both award and cash bookings. Club Access Awards are transferrable.

• $25 FIND Experience Credit: $25 off on booking a FIND Experience. FIND Experience Credits are transferable.

World of Hyatt Milestone Reward at 30 Qualifying Nights (or 50,000 base points)

At 30 nights or 50,000 base points, have the option of choosing between one of three rewards.

• A $2K Next Stay Award: earn 2,000 bonus World of Hyatt points on your next stay at a Hyatt Place, Hyatt House, Caption by Hyatt, or UrCove hotel (within 180 days).

• 2 Club Access Awards: allows access to club lounges at Hyatt hotels for stays of up to 7 nights (per award) on both award and cash bookings. Club Access Awards are transferrable.

• $25 FIND Experience Credit: $25 off on booking a FIND Experience. FIND Experience Credits are transferable.

In addition, you’ll get a Category 1-4 Free Night Award valid for a free night at any Hyatt property up to category 4 (on standard, off-peak, or peak dates). This award is transferable and valid for 180 days.

While this is not technically a Milestone Reward, 30 nights or 50,000 base points is also the threshold for earning Explorist status in World of Hyatt.

World of Hyatt Milestone Reward at 40 Qualifying Nights (or 50,000 base points)

At 40 nights or 65,000 base points, you’ll have the option of choosing between one of three rewards.

• 5,000 Bonus Points: Get 5,000 World of Hyatt points added to your balance to use towards a future free night, suite upgrade, or experience.

• Suite Upgrade Award: Get a confirmed upgrade to a standard suite on a stay of up to 7 nights. The award can be used on yourself or gifted and is valid at most Hyatt properties.

• $150 FIND Experience Credit: $150 off on booking a FIND Experience. FIND Experience Credits are transferable.

You’ll also receive a Guest of Honor Award allowing you to gift someone a Globalist experience on a stay of up to 7 nights. This award can be used on both award and eligible cash stays. You can also use it on yourself if you aren’t already a Globalist.

World of Hyatt Milestone Reward at 50 Qualifying Nights (or 50,000 base points)

At 50 nights or 80,000 base points, you’ll have the option of choosing between one of three rewards.

• 5,000 Bonus Points: Get 5,000 World of Hyatt points added to your balance to use towards a future free night, suite upgrade, or experience.

• 2 Suite Upgrade Awards: Get two suite upgrade awards allowing you to get a confirmed upgrade to a standard suite on a stay of up to 7 nights. The award can be used on yourself or gifted and is valid at most Hyatt properties.

• $150 FIND Experience Credit: $150 off on booking a FIND Experience. FIND Experience Credits are transferable.

World of Hyatt Milestone Reward at 60 Qualifying Nights (or 50,000 base points)

At 60 nights or 100,000 base points, is easily the most significant milestone in World of Hyatt and where you unlock some pretty serious value. That’s because this is the threshold for earning Globalist status. I’ve held top-tier status with most hotel loyalty programs and Globalist is by far the most valuable in my opinion.

But that’s not all you get at Hyatt. You also unlock some pretty sweet Milestone Rewards:

• 2 Guest of Honor Awards: Get two awards allowing you to gift someone a Globalist experience on a stay of up to 7 nights. This award can be used on both award and eligible cash stays. You can also use it on yourself although that won’t be useful except in the most niche cases since if you earn 60 nights, you’d already be a Globalist.

• 2 Suite Upgrade Awards: Get two suite upgrade awards allowing you to get a confirmed upgrade to a standard suite on a stay of up to 7 nights. The award can be used on yourself or gifted and is valid at most Hyatt properties.

• Category 1-7 Free Night Award: A free night award valid for a free night at any Hyatt property up to category 7 (on standard, off-peak, or peak dates). This award is transferable and valid for 180 days.

• My Hyatt Concierge: You’ll receive access to a dedicated point of contact at Hyatt who can help with bookings, using awards, account issues, special requests, and more.

You don’t need to make any selection when you hit 60 nights, you automatically get the Guest of Honor, Suite Upgrade, and Category 1-7 Free Night Awards added to your profile. And you’ll likely get a call or email from your new My Hyatt Concierge within a week or so. That’s in addition to all of the standard Globalist benefits including suite upgrades at check-in, free breakfast, guaranteed 4 pm late checkout, and more.

World of Hyatt Milestone Reward at 70, 80, or 90 Qualifying Nights

At 70, 80, and 90 elite qualifying nights, you’ll have the option of choosing between one of three rewards.

• 10,000 Bonus Points: Get 10,000 World of Hyatt points added to your balance to use towards a future free night, suite upgrade, or experience.

• Suite Upgrade Award: Get a confirmed upgrade to a standard suite on a stay of up to 7 nights. The award can be used on yourself or gifted and is valid at most Hyatt properties.

• $300 FIND Experience Credit: $300 off on booking a FIND Experience. FIND Experience Credits are transferable.

World of Hyatt Milestone Reward at 100 Qualifying Nights

At 100 elite qualifying nights, you’ll have the option of choosing between one of three rewards.

• 10,000 Bonus Points: Get 10,000 World of Hyatt points added to your balance to use towards a future free night, suite upgrade, or experience.

• Suite Upgrade Award: Get a confirmed upgrade to a standard suite on a stay of up to 7 nights. The award can be used on yourself or gifted and is valid at most Hyatt properties.

• Miraval Extra Night Award: Get a complimentary second night when staying an eligible night at any Miraval resort.

In addition, you’ll get a Category 1-7 Free Night Award valid for a free night at any Hyatt property up to category 7 (on standard, off-peak, or peak dates). This award is transferable and valid for 180 days.

World of Hyatt Milestone Reward at 110, 120, 130, or 140 Qualifying Nights

At 110, 120, 130, and 140 elite qualifying nights, you’ll have the option of choosing between one of the following three rewards.

• 10,000 Bonus Points: Get 10,000 World of Hyatt points added to your balance to use towards a future free night, suite upgrade, or experience.

• Suite Upgrade Award: Get a confirmed upgrade to a standard suite on a stay of up to 7 nights. The award can be used on yourself or gifted and is valid at most Hyatt properties.

• Miraval Extra Night Award: Get a complimentary second night when staying an eligible night at any Miraval resort.

In addition, you’ll receive another Guest of Honor Award allowing you to gift someone a Globalist experience on a stay of up to 7 nights. This award can be used on both award and eligible cash stays.

World of Hyatt Milestone Reward at 150 Qualifying Nights

The final World of Hyatt Milestone Rewards threshold is at a whopping 150 nights. If you manage to spend a full five months of the year staying at Hyatt properties, you’ll get the choice between the following three awards.

• 10,000 Bonus Points: Get 10,000 World of Hyatt points added to your balance to use towards a future free night, suite upgrade, or experience.

• Suite Upgrade Award: Get a confirmed upgrade to a standard suite on a stay of up to 7 nights. The award can be used on yourself or gifted and is valid at most Hyatt properties.

• Miraval Extra Night Award: Get a complimentary second night when staying an eligible night at any Miraval resort.

But that’s not all. If you get to 150 elite qualifying nights, you’ll also get an Ultimate Free Night Award. The award will be valid for a free night at any Hyatt property including properties. That includes properties in Category 1 to 8, all inclusive resorts (Category A to F), and Miraval resort.

Bottom Line

The World of Hyatt Milestone Rewards program offers members a range of benefits separate from elite status, rewarding them at 10-night intervals with various rewards. These rewards include free night awards, point bonuses, suite upgrades, and more, available at different thresholds from 20 to 150 elite nights within a year.
